FAQ
Will I fall over or twist an ankle?
As with any activity or equipment, when you participate in this workout you are assuming some level of risk of injury. Nevertheless, the boots are fairly stable, especially when compared with single-blade footwear such as rollerblades or ice skates. When secured properly on the foot, it is unlikely you will fall or twist an ankle. We recommend starting small - take small steps at first and only expand to bigger, more powerful movements after you feel comfortable in the boots.
The equipment is maintained to always be in good working order, but it is still possible for the equipment to break while in use. If this happens, simply stop and take off the boots, and we will provide another pair if possible so you can continue the workout.
Do I need to purchase my own pair of the boots?
Nope! We provide all the equipment you'll need.
How do the boot sizes work?
Take a look at this size chart. But rest assured, when you get to class, we'll make sure your boots fit comfortably before we begin.
What should I expect from my first class?
Our classes are continuous from start to finish for about 45 minutes. We don't stop at the end of a song like some other popular formats. The first few minutes will be an easy warm-up to get the feel of the boots. Then we'll spend the bulk of the time building up choreography so that by the end it's a complete routine that goes with the music. At the end, we'll spend a few minutes doing less rigorous movement so the heart rate can settle back down.
If you're new, start by simply trying to follow the steps. Once you get more comfortable, you can add in arm movements and take bigger steps with more power. At any point you are welcome to march in place, rest for a bit, or go get a drink. Usually there will be a minute or two pause halfway through class for everyone to catch their breath and take a drink.
What should I wear or bring to class?
Just bring yourself and a drink to stay hydrated! Be sure to wear taller socks that will cover at least up to your mid-shin. Sort of like wearing rollerblades or ice skates.
Is Wild Plyo safe for pregnancy?
This workout is not recommended during pregnancy. While we would love to have you join, pregnancy loosens the ligaments in the body, therefore increasing the risk of injury and/or falling. We recommend finding an alternate form of exercise until you're cleared by a physician to resume normal activity following the pregnancy.
